Hello and thank you for reading my blog!
The theme decided for my spring/summer 2010 line is "the daily lolita". This means that the focus is on clothing that is low-maintenance, and easy to wear every day.
Inspiration
I chose this theme because I am personally a daily lolita, meaning that I wear lolita every day possible. Because of this, I know that there are some inconveniences to wearing Brand dresses every day.
The biggest complaint for Brand would be the astronomical dry cleaning bill! Many Brand prints are not colorfast and therefore require dry cleaning. Another issue is that many are simply too fancy for every day wear. While we do dress like princesses every day, sometimes having too many ribbons to re-tie or too much lace makes wearing lolita fashion seem more like an inconvenience than a pleasure.
This is something I wrote on my dA journal a while ago, which I think describes everything I want to do for this line:
"Basically I would like to make clothes that are comfortable to wear every day, and easy to wash and dry to wear again. I wear lolita daily, so I know that it is not realistic to wear Brand every day unless you spend a lot on dry cleaning and are so careful to not damage your clothes that it can be a chore sometimes! And another part is that I think a reason so many people think lolita fashion is a costume is because lolitas mostly cannot wear it every day. The price is too high, and it is often an inconvenience. If I could make clothes that are easy and comfortable to wear every day, then I believe that lolitas everywhere can express their lolita spirit all the time, rather than for special occasions only"
Goal
For S/S 2010, my aim is to make low-key outfits that can be worn as daily wear, and can be machine-washed for convenience.
There are four arranged looks planned. What will they be? You must wait and see!

I am re-designing my logo. I felt that my current logo is not fitting for my brand image, so I have been sketching a new one. Check back for updates to the new logo!
